Bourn in the Valley (Trailer)
Bourn in the Valley is a poetic Southern Gothic short documentary that meditates on the transient nature of life. Home videos spanning sixty years (1940-2002) show my grandmother, great aunt, and father growing older, and I watch their younger selves transition from childhood into adulthood. I intertwine my personal story with universal truths: seasons change, love ebbs and flows, and life ends and begins.

Mama’s Quilts
My first documentary short is about Ruby Adams’ quilts, told through interviews with her daughters Ruth Adams Ball and Mae Adams Shelby. One of Ruby’s quilts is housed at the University of Mississippi Museum.
